Om Symbol Necklace | Minimalist Meditation Talisman
Description
Om, written in Devanagari as OM, is described in the Mandukya Upanishad as the sound from which all other sounds proceed, the vibration that was present before the world began. It is not a word in the ordinary sense. It is the acoustic form of what the circumpunct is the visual form of: the source from which everything proceeds, rendered in the medium of sound rather than sight.
The three Sanskrit phonemes that compose Om represent the three states of consciousness and the three aspects of time. The silence after the Om is the fourth state: turiya, the consciousness that underlies and pervades the other three. To wear the Om symbol is to carry the acoustic cosmology of the Upanishads in a visual form.
925 sterling silver base. Available in White Gold Plated, Yellow Gold Plated, and Rose Gold Plated finishes. Suspended on a matching chain.
Care
Your piece is made to last a lifetime, but it still deserves a little devotion. Keep it dry, store it away from other metals, and wipe it clean after wear. Small rituals like these are what keep a symbol sharp for years to come.
Design
Every piece begins as an idea worth carrying, then it's shaped, cast, and finished by hand until the symbol feels inevitable. This isn't decoration. It's craft made to mean something.
