Description

The rose in the Western esoteric tradition marks the flowering at the intersection of the cross — what grows at the point where spirit meets matter with sufficient force. In medieval sacred art, the rose window of the Gothic cathedral is this form made architectural: the circular rose placed at the crossing, the point of maximum structural tension in the building, flooding it with light. The rose does not survive in the crossing by being delicate. It survives by being exactly what the structure produces when it holds.

As a ring, the rose sits on the finger — the digit that in the medieval tradition was understood to carry the vena amoris, the vein of love, running directly to the heart. The rose on the finger is the symbol of what grows at the intersection, worn at the place where the medieval tradition located the direct connection to the heart.

925 sterling silver. Ring band.

Care

Your piece is made to last a lifetime, but it still deserves a little devotion. Keep it dry, store it away from other metals, and wipe it clean after wear. Small rituals like these are what keep a symbol sharp for years to come.

Design

Every piece begins as an idea worth carrying, then it's shaped, cast, and finished by hand until the symbol feels inevitable. This isn't decoration. It's craft made to mean something.
